The MHC has opened an emergency special enrollment period for uninsured Marylanders
during the State of Emergency for Coronavirus (COVID-19)- many people may be facing unemployment or are not offered health insurance through their current employers and may be looking for health care coverage right now. To ensure Maryland residents receive access to affordable ACA-compliant insurance coverage during this crucial time, individuals can visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov or download the free “Enroll MHC” mobile app, then request or select “Coronavirus Emergency Special Enrollment Period.” Enrollment will run through Wednesday, April 15. Coverage selected during this time will have a start date of April 1, 2020, regardless of when a consumer enrolls during this period.
